Service description

A videoconference service is available on all campuses using either centrally controlled systems or Faculty systems. The service can be used for teaching, examinations, meetings and interviews.

Accessing the service

Location / address

A fixed videoconferencing service is available at the following sites:

For a fee, and with sufficient notice, videoconferencing can usually be provided in any room which has computer access.

Faculty controlled videoconferencing systems are available in the following locations:

Hours of operation

This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with prior booking.

Charges

Charges for QUT Clients

Conferences will only attract a charge if setup of a system is required or the conference incurs external charges or ISDN charges.

Conferences taking place before 8am and after 6pm, Monday to Friday, and on weekends or public holidays, will incur an additional fee of $90.00 per hour.

Charges for non-QUT Clients

Conferences to sites external to QUT: $220.00 (includes GST) per hour plus IP or ISDN charges.

Conferences taking place before 8am and after 6pm, Monday to Friday, and on weekends or public holidays, will incur an additional fee of $100.00 per hour (includes GST).

Cancellations

All bookings must be cancelled within 24 hours. Failure to cancel the booking within this time will attract a fee of $200.00

Staff availability is limited so booking is essential.
